GlassesUSA Refund Nightmare: My $246 Disappearing Act! 💸
Let me share my absolutely terrible online shopping experience, hoping it serves as a cautionary tale for everyone. My direct feeling and conclusion about this is: GlassesUSA has still not sent my refund for an order I never received. They have $246.00 of my hard-earned money from a glasses order placed on February 24th, and the tracking number still shows it stuck in Atlanta, Georgia. All they keep telling me is it's "in transit" from a BOT – I want my money back! This company is atrocious, and the only reason I am getting my refund is because I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, wrote a bad review on Trust Pilot and Google, and filed a complaint with the Vermont Attorney General's office. I felt compelled to leave this review and engage in conversation with their customer service because this whole situation has been a nightmare, and I couldn't get a straight answer or my money back through their usual channels.
Customer: I was promised a refund for order #105081183 weeks ago after all the trouble, and I'm still waiting. It's been beyond the 7-10 business days you quoted! CS Rep: I understand your immense frustration with the delay in your refund. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. Let me look into your order status right away. Customer: This whole experience has been nothing short of atrocious. I had to file complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General just to get GlassesUSA to even agree to a refund for an order I never received! What is going on? CS Rep: I see the notes regarding the refund agreement, and I truly regret the difficulties you've faced. The refund was processed on our end on [date of agreement], and while it typically takes 7-10 business days, I am escalating this to our finance team for an immediate review and expedited release. Customer: Seven to ten business days is already too long after all this. I need a concrete confirmation that this money is actually coming back to me soon. I used Zenni before and never had this problem; I deeply regret ever choosing GlassesUSA. CS Rep: I completely understand your urgency and your disappointment. I've marked this as high priority. You will receive an email confirmation of the refund's final status within the next 24 hours. We appreciate your patience as we finalize this for you.
